How is the Ever-Tight fastener different than what is currently out in the market?
Unlike the leading Wheel lock nut in today’s market which uses a NUT AND TWO WASHERS that becomes one solid piece, the Ever-Tight lock nut consists of a nut and a floating, resilient, deflectable washer combined into one integrated unit.
The nut and washer have a conical ratcheted design that prevents back off. As the torque is applied the load is evenly distributed between the consecutive threads and the resiliently deflectable washer which moves with the load, protecting against the loss of preload and fatigue failure even in the harshest environment of extreme or changing temperature.
